Thanks for visiting! I am a painter and photographer currently living and working in Dayton, Ohio. I have spent most of the last few years living between New York City and Milan, Italy, but am happy to be in the relative peace and quiet of Ohio. I pursued a master’s degree in Art History at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and simultaneously earned a B.F.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting + Drawing from Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College in 2014.
My work investigates many themes, but I am drawn time and time again to how we use photography to document our daily lives. Whether delving into my family albums to unearth my personal history through snapshots or camping out at tourist attractions to watch selfies in real time, I am always noticing our desire to document and capture ourselves in images. This extends to other people's personal images, too - I love working on commissions that recreate my clients' favorite photos into paintings.
When I'm not painting, you can find me rowing on the Great Miami River for Dayton Boat Club, in the kitchen making pasta from scratch, or practicing calligraphy and hand lettering in my studio.
Please email me if you are interested in commissions, including my work in exhibitions, or want to learn more.
